Mix these ingredients in your blender until the ice is crushed into slushy form. Serve the drink(s) while they're still frozen.
A couple of people have suggested using 151 proof rum to give it a bit more punch. One person we know of tried it without the lime and really enjoyed it. One bar tender from Key West said they've been using orange juice instead of lime for years with better results. Mind you there are those that are adament that sticking with the original recipe (lime juice included) is the only way to go.

- 1.5 ounces of rum
- 1 ounce of blackberry brandy
- 1 ounce of banana liqueur
- 1 ounce of lime juice (maybe a bit more than an ounce)
- .5 ounce of grenadine syrup
- crushed ice
